Retail lighting company achieves Investors in People standard

Greenlite Lighting Solutions, a commercial lighting company, has met the demanding requirements for Investors in People (IIP) accreditation, achieving the IIP Standard on its first attempt.

Developed by business leaders and backed by government, this voluntary accreditation is based around a series of 39 indicators, relating to good people management. In a rigorous assessment carried out this month, Greenlite, a lighting installation expert, met all of the 39 evidence requirements, and the company is now proud to bear the standard of Investors in People.

Liam Linacre, the IIP Specialist who carried out the assessment, declared in his report that he was “satisfied beyond any doubt that Greenlite meets the requirements of the IIP standard”. He praised, in particular, the “friendly, person-focused approach” taken by the company and the “open and honest” way that Greenlite manages its staff.

In his report, Liam Linacre elaborates: “It was clear that the directors valued the wellbeing of the staff and were committed to ensuring a high level of customer service, as well as staff satisfaction and motivation.”

Andy Chell, Sales and Marketing Manager at commercial lighting UK specialist, Greenlite, comments: “We’re thrilled to achieve the Investors in People standard on our very first try. Commitment to our staff is embedded in the company ethos, with The Greenlite Experience laying the framework for a ‘virtuous circle’ between staff, suppliers and customers.”

He adds: “Investors in People is about always striving to be even better, so we’re keen to keep supporting our people in new ways. In turn, this allows us to keep improving the service we provide to our clients.”
