Retail lighting maintenance expert establishes new partnership with local charity

Greenlite Lighting Maintenance, a commercial environmental lighting firm based in the North West, has developed a relationship with Blackpool Carers’ Centre.

The firm, which also specialises in emergency light testing, has signed up for the charity’s ‘Cash Quest for Carers’ challenge. This scheme gives participants £50, which they then have to turn into £500 in 100 days. Proceeds will support the Young Carers programme at the centre.

Greenlite was introduced to the charity by Beaverbrooks. Andy Chell, Sales and Marketing Manager at the electrical maintenance specialist, attended the launch event for the scheme and was amazed by their good work.

Andy says: “We can raise this money in any way – as long as it’s legal and ethical! I am excited to get stuck in. This is an incredibly important cause. I don’t think many people realise the difficulties that some young people face while balancing their school work with taking care of siblings and parents.”

He adds: “As a energy efficient retail lighting firm, we are in a position to be able to support these programmes. Helping our local community forms an integral part of our values-led business principles. So watch this space – we’ll keep you updated on our money-raising activities!”
